Went to Dizin, 3 hours from Tehran – hotel terrible, apres non-existent, infrastructure vintage 1971 (Skis were too wide to go in the slots on the outside of the bubble/Kinder egg so they and anyone with snowboards had them sticking out of the top), but the snow, oh my god, the snow …
It’s high (3,500m) and dry (continental) and bloody chilly!
Fresh tracks after 2 days – involved a bit of a traverse to get to the area but there weren’t too many people going off piste – skis took a bit of a pasting from hidden rocks further down but that’s the price you pay
